About Coto Rancho Rotary

The Rotary Club of Coto De Caza / Rancho Santa Margarita was founded in 1983 by members of the Rotary Club of Mission Viejo. More than twenty years later, the club retains some of its charter members. Originally named the Rotary Club of Coto De Caza, the club was renamed in 2001 to include the new city of Rancho Santa Margarita.

Coto Rancho Rotary is a service club with members from diverse business, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. We are business professionals and philanthropists who live and/or work in Coto De Caza, Rancho Santa Margarita, and Ladera Ranch. We meet weekly for dinner and drinks to share fellowship and to plan our many community, international, and vocational service projects. If this sounds like you, look here for information on membership.

About Rotary International

Rotary International is one of the oldest service clubs in the world, having been founded 100 years ago in 1905, in Chicago Illinois USA. Organized to promote business, community and interpersonal fellowship and understanding, Rotary has been instrumental in fostering communication and good will among people and countries around the world. Rotary members are men and women who understand the importance in sharing their interests and skills as community leaders, giving back to their communities with their time, hard work and fundraising efforts.

Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 31,000 Rotary clubs located in 166 countries around the globe. Members from one country find welcome and friendship by attending meeting wherever they travel. Wearing the Rotary pin can spark a conversation in any situation and with an amazing range of people. In Denmark you can attend a Rotary meeting with the King. Many Presidents, Ambassadors and Prime Ministers are or have been Rotarians. Even in countries such as Vietnam that do not presently have local clubs you can find fellow Rotarians and impromptu meetings.

The Rotary motto “service above self” expresses the commitment to service shared by Rotarians around the world. You will find that Rotary captures your heart, stimulates your mind, and helps you to understand the world. Contact us to get involved.
